Since 1971, Eagle Nest Golf Club has been a staple of the Grand Strand golf scene. Designed by Gene Hamm, this 18-hole public course offers a blend of natural beauty and strategic play. Set on 250 acres of gently rolling terrain, the course features fairways lined with towering Carolina pines and picturesque water features adorned with cypress and willow trees. With the addition of the “Perch Tees,” the course can stretch to 8,168 yards, making it one of the longest in the country, while still offering shorter tees for players of all skill levels.

The two men behind the desk at the pro shop we all found very rude and unconcerned with customer satiation. We boomed out event a year out. We were told what 9’s we were going out on long ago but when we got there they had changed. I asked why and explained we had score cards all printed out and the game set in Unknown. The cart guys said it would be easy to do so but the guys inside had to tell them. They don’t seem to care and said these packages were booked many months out and they do t change. I explained that wasn’t true as ours was changed. Their response was curt. They said “you are playing Dogwood and that’s it”. I won’t be taking my group back ever!! Ace from the cart area was great

Course was great. We were not able to complete our 2nd round by 3 holes however. At the turn of first round the clubhouse bar/food area was packed. There was one person waiting on at least 30 people. Those at bar eating and those starting rounds and those making turn. This held up the course. Then on 2nd round we ran up on a 4sm of older ladies that were very very slow. Ranger came by and told us they were going to let our 3 4sms play thru. They did not. We ended up skipping a hole around them. But to late. We ran out of daylight. Course was in good shape.
